Aerial View of Mt Adams, St Helens I took November 2020 flying home from Las Vegas.
On our way to Takhlakh Lake under Mt Adams... a stop at logging town, Morton, WA
The road that leads to Takhlakh Lake
Spacious Campsite at Takhlakh Lake!
We saw this Bald Eagle flying when we went out in the raft fishing the first day.
I cropped into the first photo
The next day we saw the Bald Eagle again, this time he landed on top of a tall pine tree.
He was a long ways off, see under red star, so I used my Nikon SuperZoom to get in close.
Saw this Bald Eagle the next day fishing on far side of lake, barely caught him flying with a fish
Later the Bald Eagle was on top of another tall pine tree screaming that this was his territory!
My wife and Max enjoying the view!
Fishing can be real good here. Iryn caught a few nice ones,
Our two dogs were comical in the raft! LOL
Our Cousin and his wife went with us this year. Michael had a great time flyfishing!
Michael best catch was a real nice 20 incher!
Nice views just down from camp!
Went for a drive to see Olallie lake 2 miles from Takhlakh Lake and
to see Council Lake 6 miles away.
Michael & Jobbie left for home after this, while Iryn and I went to see a meadow and falls.
Wednseday we went down Trout Lake to shower, get groceries at the General Store,
eat at the Station Cafe and check our emails and phone messages. Friday we headed back home.
Last night there when down to lake to well after dark.
Made friends with a very nice man there. He caught a lot of fish.
Michael & Jack went back to Takhlakh Lake October 6th 2023 in the fall to fish again.
This time no big ones, but caught many around 12" or so... threw them all back.
Heading home, shot this nice photo with Mt adams in background.
We will be back again in 2024!
