Very scenic on the way up, takes 1.5 hours and 38 miles from Puyallup, last 17 miles is gravel.

Old Ranger Station at Mowich Lake and the view from it

Once at Mowich Lake, you only see part of Mt Rainier, but if you go on the one of the more popular hikes, Tolmie Peak Lookout, you will see all of Mt Rainier and surrounding lakes.

The Grey Jays were fun to watch. Not shy at all.
